Monthly Meetings

Military Families of Monroe County meet on the second Wednesday of every month at the Monroe Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Hall in Monroe, Michigan.

Care Package Workshops

Workshops are run twice a year, one in May and the other in November. During the workshop, care packages are built for service members from the Monroe County area. If you know someone we can send a package to, please let us know, and feel free to come help us! Contact us for specific dates and more information.

If your service member is from Monroe County and you’d like to submit their address, please use the Google form.

Homecomings and parades

Please note, parades are only run for returning combat veterans, with some exceptions. Homecoming events, such as parties, are often run in sequence with parades and sometimes separately depending on the wishes of the family/service member. If you're interested in having us run an event for a service member you know from the Monroe county area, please let us know!

Other events

Military Families of Monroe County runs multiple fundraising events each year, including an annual Bake Sale. We also often coordinate with other groups in the area to run events. For more information regarding events and dates, please contact us.
